REVIEW: MILLER & CARTER LAKESIDE

In as much as I love cooking, I love dining out. So from time to time a restaurant review post will pop up. Don’t worry I will try and not make it about Nandos. Lol! For those that know me know I live in Nandos. Ha ha ha!
On this occasion, it was Mr IDJAY’s birthday and his wife Marianne decided we were going to Miller & Carter. This restaurant is on a boat but getting on was not tricky but ladies if you are wearing heels be mindful of not getting stuck in between the wood logs on the walkway. As we got in the atmosphere and mood was just right for a relaxing dinner but as it was a weekend they do not take any bookings so we went straight to the bar. We ordered some cocktails and within 20 minutes we got a seat.

What We Ordered
Miller & Carter specializes in Steak, so everyone else ordered a medium well Steak except from me. (Not a steak fan) You can have a choice of your own lettuce wedge dressing and also a steak sauce or butter which was different as they had a variety.  My ribs were moist and it fell off the bone only mistake I made was I ordered jacket potatoes. (God gave me a second chance and they brought chips, silly me I corrected them see how small the potato is). We also ordered lobster tails and tiger prawns with the mains; BBQ chicken wings, Tempura Prawns and calamari for starters. The Hubz would have ordered 10 calamari as it was just perfect. Lightly fried not salty and the sauce was beautiful. We had the Zinfadel Rose which complemented all the whole flavours coming from the food.

Price
The price was decent for the atmosphere and quality of food. The starters were not more than £7each, mains were in-between £15 - £25 each and dessert was around £5 each. Bottle of wine £20
Verdict
The service was outstanding, staffs were polite and friendly, environment was clean and food was cooked to perfection as we all wanted more of everything except desserts. Although we sat downstairs the view was beautiful only let down was the waiting time between the starter and mains, the dessert and no music in the background.
