Grilled Turkey Bites and Plantain.

Gizzard and plantain is quite common as a party/ celebration food. On this day I wanted something different that will involve me using my hands.

So I decided to turn the popular Gizdodo to Turkdodo. That doesn't sound quite right. Its just Turkey and Dodo.

Ingredients

Plantain
Turkey
Coconut Oil
Bell Peppers
Stew
Red Onions
Stock Cube

Parboil the turkey for 5 minutes, drain the stock and put it in the oven for another 15 -20 minutes.

Slice the peppers and Onions

Dice the plantain and fry. try and get a ripe plantain as it gives a sweet taste.

In a pan, add the stew paste and fry. The quantity depends on how much you are making.

This is the stew I took the sauce from

Note 1: The paste should be enough to cover the mixture not to overwhelm it.

Note 2: The stew paste will be seasoned already, if you decide to add seasoning, 1 stock cube is sufficient depending on quantity.

Add the red onions and bell peppers. Let it sizzle for 3 minutes.

Add the grilled turkey stir into sauce and let it simmer for 5 minutes

Switch off the heat, add the plantain and stir completely. Leave the pot on the hub for few minutes then serve as preferred.

You can eat it on its own if you get excited like I was or serve with jollof or fried rice. Enjoy and let me know how it goes.

Enjoy
